Privacy Policy

Intro is a digital business card app. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.
Your account
Using Intro requires an account so your cards can sync across your devices and reach the people you share them with. You can use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose "Hide My Email," we only ever see Apple's private relay address, not your real one. We store your account's email address and display name to show in your profile and to sign you in. We never see or store your Apple or Google password. Your profile also has a unique @username, which is public and forms your card's shareable link (introapp.me/your-username).
What we store
- Cards you create. The details you put on a card (name, title, company, contact info, social handles, description) are stored in our backend, hosted on Supabase, so your card can be shared by link or QR code and stay up to date on every device.
- Card photos. Photos you add to a card are stored in a private storage bucket on the same backend, readable by people you share the card with. A free card has one photo; Intro Pro allows up to five per card.
- Cards you receive. Cards other people share with you are saved on your device and refreshed from the backend so you see the latest version.
Who can see your card
Sharing a card creates a link. Anyone with that link or your Intro Code can view the card's contents, including its photos. Only put on a card what you're comfortable sharing. Editing or deleting a card updates or stops what others can see.
Who saves your card
When you save someone's card, a record links your account to that card so it stays up to date in your network. With Intro Pro, the card's owner can see who saved it — your display name and @username — in their "Who saved your card" list; on the free tier they see only the total number of saves. The same applies to your own cards when others save them. Un-saving a card removes this record.
Save Alerts and notifications
Intro sends two kinds of notifications, and both are optional:
- Save Alerts. If you turn these on, we let you know when someone saves one of your cards. To deliver them, we store your device's push token on our backend and send the alert through Apple's Push Notification service. Turning Save Alerts off removes your stored token. The alert tells you a card was saved; with Intro Pro you can see exactly who in the app's "Who saved your card" list (above).
- Trial reminders. If you start a free trial and allow notifications, Intro schedules a reminder before the trial ends. This one is scheduled locally on your device.
You can turn notifications off anytime in iOS Settings.
Reports and blocking
When you report a card, we store the reported card's identifier, the card owner's and your account identifiers, the reason you selected, any comment you add, and the time of the report. We use this only to review reports and enforce our Terms; no other user can read reports. When you block someone, that block is stored on our backend under your account so it applies across all your devices — a blocked person's cards won't reach you even if you scan their code again.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no analytics trackers, no selling of data.
- The camera is used only to scan Intro Codes, processed on your device.
- Contacts access is never requested; saving a number uses the standard iOS dialer flow.
Deleting your data
Deleting a card in the app removes it — and its photo — from our backend, and people who received it stop getting updates. To delete your entire account, open your profile, go to Settings, and tap Delete Account. This permanently erases your cards, their photos, your received-card records, any reports and blocks, your notification token, and your account itself, and revokes Intro's Sign in with Apple access. Deleting the app removes all locally stored cards.
Purchases
Intro Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple tells the app whether you have an active subscription (via StoreKit) so it can unlock Pro features — that's the only purchase information the app receives.
Lock Screen widget
If you add the Intro Lock Screen widget (a Pro feature), the card you choose is stored in a private app container on your device so the widget can display and share it. It stays on your device.
App Clip
Opening a shared card link may launch Intro's App Clip — a lightweight version that shows the card that was shared with you. It reads only that card, and can save it to your network if you install the full app.
Service providers
Our backend — account sign-in, card syncing, photo storage, and Save Alert delivery — runs on Supabase. Signing in is handled through Apple and Google. Push notifications are delivered by Apple. Their privacy terms apply to that infrastructure.
